Overview 2022 honda passport elite price and specs

2022 honda passport elite price and specs. Spacious, capable and well-equipped for the money, the Honda Passport achieves its value as a midsize SUV, which earned it an Editor’s Choice award. Sharing many of its mechanics with the three-row pilot and Ridgeline pickup, the Passport bears a familiar name from the 1990s Honda lineup but is entirely modern, with plenty of standard safety equipment and optional technology features. The standard V-6 engine is powerful, and the interior is practical and capacitive. We chose it as our favorite two-row midsize crossover in comparison tests over the Ford Edge, Nissan Murano, Chevy Blazer, and Hyundai Santa Fe on this merit and because it’s good to drive, with confident handling. Its main demerits include so-so fuel economy and some sometimes finicky interior controls. Despite this quibble, it is one of our highest rated SUVs.

Something new for 2022 Honda Passport Elite

The 2021 Passport only received minor updates for the new year’s new model, with the base model adding the new standard 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system versus the old 5.0-inch screen. The rest of the lineup hasn’t changed except for a small increase in the initial price. I’m even more curious how the 2022 honda passport elite price and specs will look like.

Engine, Transmission and Performance

Under the hood is the same 3.5-liter, nine-speed V-6 automatic transmission found in the Pilot. Those who want all-terrain all-wheel drive capabilities can add them for extra coins; otherwise the Passport is front wheel drive. The SUV has a ground clearance of 7.5 inches (8.1 inches for all-wheel-drive models), and the Passport can reach 5000 pounds. However, the two-row Honda has a rough ride when undertaking off-road endeavors, and its high ride height contributes to its top-heavy stance. However, the Passport was fast in our tests, and it really did speed up the highway. The ride is comfortable on most roads, and the steering is immediately pleasing, which makes the Passport feel nimble.

Real World Fuel and MPG Savings

With a choice of engine and front or all-wheel drive, the Passport has two different EPA ratings. The front-drive model is expected to get up to 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive Passport is slightly worse off, with ratings of 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. We tested the latter on our 200-mile fuel economy route, where it exceeded the EPA highway estimate by 3 mpg.

Interior, Comfort and Cargo

Anyone who has experienced the interior of the Ridgeline will immediately be familiar with the Passport cabin. Despite the excellent design, the material is quite attractive and the controls are well organized — though we would have liked more knobs and buttons instead of touchscreen controls. The front seats are wide and comfortable, with useful armrests that can be adjusted for optimal comfort. The rear seats are also comfortable and allow the Passport to carry up to five people. There’s 41 cubic feet of storage space behind the back seat, which holds our 15 carry-on luggage. Folding that row opens up 78 room cubes and the capacity to carry a total of 33 pockets. Interior cubby storage is generally great thanks to the useful bins throughout the cab and the large center console bin.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Each Passport uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes necessities like Bluetooth and various power points. However, those who want a 115-volt outlet, built-in navigation, an upgraded audio system, Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless phone charging should go for the top-tier Touring and Elite models.
